          With the addition of Prep’s certified athletic trainer, Athletic Training has now been added to the already strong athletic tradition. A resident of Beachwood, NJ, Mrs. Kyrsten Hayworth completed her Masters in Athletic Training at East Stroudsburg University. She attained her undergraduate degree at Rowan University. Athletic training is just the start of Kyrsten's resume she is also a certified orthopedic technologist, massage therapist and certified EMT.

         With both secondary school and collegiate sports medicine experience, necessary health care services are made available to student-athletes by the athletic trainer in collaboration with physicians. The Athletic Training Room at Prep allows for the ready evaluation, treatment, and physical rehabilitation of  injuries optimizing the activity and participation of our student-athletes. Athletic Training includes the management of acute and chronic injuries, conditions, and/or physical limitations affecting the physically active using approved techniques to facilitate recovery and determine appropriate course of action.

         Priority practice and game coverage is given to the sports with the most risk for injury, though coordination with coaches and staff of all sports exists to respond to student-athletes in a timely manner.
