Remembering B.J. Giannone, '11

Tuesday marks the first anniversary of the sudden passing of B.J. Giannone, '11, a moment that has profoundly shaped the Class of 2011 and the Prep community as a whole in the course of the past year. Students, faculty, alumni, parents and friends gathered Saturday to celebrate B.J.'s memory at a special Mass hosted by the Alumni Spirituality Committee, with similar opportunities made available to students on Tuesday.

Schedule Set for Prep's Florida Receptions in February!

Prep is coming to Florida, and the schedule is set! Please join us for an afternoon of “Prep Pride” as we welcome Prep president Fr. Bob Reiser, S.J., and vice president Jim Horan, ’70 to the Sunshine State, on February 7 in Palm Beach or February 8 in Bonita Springs.

Alumni Return for Inaugural College Fair

Almost 60 members of the Classes of 2008 through 2011 gathered at Prep last week for the inaugural Alumni College Fair. The young men, representing 45 colleges and universities, met with current Prep sophomores, juniors, and seniors to informally discuss their college experiences.

Correction: IRA Rollover Tax Benefits Have NOT Been Extended

Frenkel & Company Renews Support of Prep Golf Tournament

International insurance brokerage Frenkel & Company, title sponsor of Prep's annual Golf Tournament since 2010, has agreed to continue its support for two more years. Prep's oldest fundraising event, the tournament brings together hundreds of alumni, parents and friends each summer.

If you know a teacher, coach, classmate or friend of Prep who has had a profound positive impact on Saint Peter's Prep and the broader community, now is your chance to submit a nomination for the Prep Alumni Association's top honor! Nominations will be accepted through February 13.

Upcoming Alumni Spirituality Committee Events

The Alumni Spirituality Committee would like to extend an invitation to the Prep community for several upcoming events this winter, beginning with a Mass and gathering for alumni currently in college on Monday, December 26. There will also be a memorial Mass for B.J. Giannone, '11 on Saturday, January 28, and a lecture on Wednesday, January 18.
