A Week of High Notes for Prep's Musicians

Prep's Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Vox ensembles each earned accolades in the past week. Take a listen to some of the latest accomplishments for Prep's student musicians!

Prep's Concert Band and Jazz Band returned from a national music festival in Ohio last weekend with distinguished awards. The two bands earned 1st place trophies with "Superior" ratings in each category. In fact, by earning the most points at the entire festival, Prep earned the coveted festival trophy. In addition, junior Dylan Dordevic won the best soloist award for the entire event. It was a fantastic weekend with many accolades for which Prep can be proud.

On Tuesday, several students from Sound Design and Song Writing classes participated in the NJMEA Music Technology Exposition held at Rutgers University. There, too, Prep musicians earned recognition. Prep men came home with 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze certificates for their music compositions.

Adrian Camano and Michael Appello have been accepted into the N.J. All-State Mixed Choir. This is the highest achievement a solo singer can achieve in the State of New Jersey! Congratulations!

Last but not least, Prep Vox participated in the S.F.I.C. Gala held at the Venetian in Garfield on May 11. The gentlemen provided entertainment for the crowd including Cardinal Tobin! Congratulations to the S.F.I.C. for a successful evening!
